I have seen a lot of people who think they must have everything in place to be successful. I have created $20k months as a brand new business coach online just working part-time as a side gig and I want to break these myths for you.
Myth: You need a website
Fact: You do not need a website; all you need is a platform where people can get to know you and approach you.
You see the website is old school, while it may work for certain industries like for plumbing, electrical etc. But for business coaching, I say a website is not required. All you need is a platform, even better a FREE platform to attract your audience. I teach my clients how to get high-paying clients on Facebook. Facebook is a free platform. A good platform where you can easily find your targeted audience for FREE and a very good platform to engage with your audience, warm them up with your posts so they know you, like you, and trust you before they pay you. Because, people need to know you, like you and trust you first before they take out their credit card and pay money to you. And social platforms are best for that as people are spending more time in this pandemic on social media than ever before. Being in lockdown they are not able to do many things outside like before such as going to movies, restaurants in some areas etc. So, they are spending way more time on social media scrolling through posts. So, this is the best time to be in front of them and shine brighter.
Myth: You need a certification to start
Fact: You need to be able to deliver the results.
You see certifications are useless if you are not able to deliver results/help someone with their pain. Certifications do not solve the problem; your skillset solves the problem. If you have something that you can help someone with, people will pay money to you to help them solve their problem.
Myth: You need a lot of people to make $20,000 a month
Fact: Quality is more important than quantity.
I started on social media, created a Facebook group, and invited my people into it. When my group size was about 200 people, that’s when I made my first $10,000 from it. So, you don’t even need a massive amount of people. All you need is the right people, the right leads, the right offer to help them with, and right strategies to make big sales.
Myth: You cannot sell high-ticket tickets easily
Fact: Selling high-ticket tickets is much easier in certain industries like business coaching than selling low tickets.
People who pay premium are the ones who are more committed. And they are the ones who will put more effort and get faster results. Larger investment = larger focus, meaning more effort and commitment. You attract serious and responsible people to high-ticket than a low-priced offer especially in the business coaching industry. And you cannot put a high price just for the sake for putting a high price. High price means faster results. People pay a high price for speed. People pay a high price for solving their problem quickly, to get them out of the problem quickly like right now. So, if you can solve their problem faster then, you can easily sell high-ticket offers faster too.
