With the Christmas holiday coming up, it’s easy to want to just forget that we are in the middle of a pandemic and start going out more to do all our shopping. But with COVID-19 being at an all-time high in the United States right now, it is strongly encouraged to fight against the urge. Just because you can’t go out and shop doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy the pleasures of shopping.
This year there has been a massive increase in online shoppers. Sales have sky-rocketed during Black Friday and Cyber Monday and continued on throughout the week. And now you can visit a store and get your fix virtually! Upscale retailers are trying to get in on the trend of online shopping by making your experience similar to the one you would have if you were actually there.
Ralph Lauren’s virtual store experience is now available for all shoppers who like to look around and find something in the store they may like. You can go to Rodeo Drive and look around to see all the pretty sites. And a huge bonus…no people are in the way or shoving you around. Alongside that, this virtual experience lets you click on the item you want to look at and gives you information on it. You can make your purchase through there as well. To move around, you just click on arrows scattered around the store.
Now I know this is nowhere near how fun in-person shopping can be. But for the time being, until we are all vaccinated and able to live our best lives, it will have to do. Going online to do all your shopping not only helps businesses we all love stay alive during this pandemic, but it reduces the spread and gets us one step closer to a COVID-19-free future.
How much of your holiday shopping have you conducted online? Let us know down in the comments.
