Once again, Canadian pop artist David Craig Ellis is gracing the art scene with his creative prowess, bringing forth a brand-new exhibition that is set to captivate the world’s attention. Collaborating alongside the esteemed painter and founder of Miami’s renowned Fridge Art Fair, Eric Ginsburg, Ellis is all set to unveil a captivating four-day “Mini-Fridge” group exhibition. This artistic extravaganza will run concurrently with New York’s much-anticipated Armory Art Week, promising a delightful fusion of artistic brilliance and vibrant experiences.

The heart and soul of this unique exhibition will be centered around a lively rainbow cookie theme, carefully curated to transcend the boundaries of art and touch the essence of human emotions. The primary aim is to craft an immersive encounter that interweaves the realms of art and the soul, sprinkled generously with moments of unadulterated joy and fun.
Reflecting on his past participation in Miami’s “Fridge Art Fair,” David Craig Ellis expressed his appreciation, stating, “I’m drawn to exhibiting with Fridge due to their authenticity. They steer clear of the highfalutin pretentiousness that often taints the art world. I distanced myself from that charade long before the West Broadway era migrated to Chelsea.”
Mark your calendars, as the “Mini-Fridge” spectacle is scheduled to grace Ellis’ creative haven, aptly named “Not Another GALLERY!” This artistic haven is nestled within the vibrant Williamsburg enclave of Brooklyn. From September 7 to September 10, this event will play host to an ensemble of extraordinary artists, including luminaries such as Albert Diaz, Karyn Mannix, Jim Savage, Rick Prol, Paul Kostabi, Phoenix Roberts, Samantha Sabatino, Michelle Hill, and a myriad of other talented individuals. As a delightful interlude, the four-day affair will feature engaging rainbow cookie eating contests, discerning rainbow cookie taste tests overseen by qualified judges, and, undoubtedly, a generous supply of rainbow biscuits catering to all the canine companions in attendance.
Adding to the excitement is the grand unveiling of Ellis’ latest conceptual installation, christened “STARFKRS.” This ingenious creation brings to life a meticulously designed, fully-operational faux coffee shop. Years of dedication and meticulous work have culminated in the completion of this remarkable installation, poised to mesmerize the audience.
Furthermore, the “Mini-Fridge” extravaganza assumes a role of profound significance as it serves as a prelude to the forthcoming 10-year jubilee celebration of the “Fridge Art Fair.” The anniversary revelry is set to unfold in Miami Art Basel and will grace the illustrious halls of the Coconut Grove Marriott. A hearty congratulation is in order for the Fridge Art Fair for this milestone achievement!
In the artist’s own words, “Beyond my enthusiasm for the rainbow cookies, I’m absolutely thrilled that my canine companion Nick and Dave’s loyal companion Jackson will finally have the chance to meet and revel in four days of frolic and rainbow biscuit indulgence.”
