Have you been wanting to take a trip to your local fast food restaurants? Well, you may be in luck. Places like Burger King and Taco Bell are making it easier for you to take a trip in your car and get that breath of fresh air that you so desperately need by creating different techniques of getting food to you.
In Business Wars Daily, “Fast Food Giants are Reinventing the Restaurant, Pandemic,” David Brown talks about the new ideas that Burger King is trying to bring to life in order to spice up your trip to the restaurant. Burger King is looking into a conveyor belt type of service where you order your food and the belt will deliver it to you. This idea makes social distancing during our pandemic easier and eliminates the risk factor completely. Alongside that, they are considering pick-up lockers where you order your food ahead of time, so when you get to the restaurant, you can go to the locker and it will be ready and waiting for you.
Along with Burger King, Taco Bell is doing everything in its power to reduce the spread by launching their new mobile app. Through this app, you can order your meal ahead of time and have it ready for you by the time you get to the restaurant. All you have to do is wait in your car and someone will be out with your meal shortly. As well as the curbside pick-up they have adopted, they make the drive thru as contactless as they can by incorporating buckets and trays where they do not touch the bag while giving it to you.
Throughout this pandemic, fast food has been making strides in sales because of its availability. With these new additions, these restaurants are hoping to increase their sales while helping prevent the spread.
