Apple is one of the biggest companies in the world. They have launched many things over their years of success. From Apple Music to new Apple products to the newest iPhone and AirPods Max, Apple has found new ways to up their game every single year. And 2021 is no different!

Apple recently came out with a new editorial franchise called Apple Podcasts Spotlight. This new feature gives Apple the opportunity to select different podcast creators every month and give them the spotlight. It gives those who use Apple Podcast a wider audience and a way to gain new listeners.

Apple plans on featuring new creators every month, giving their users a wide range of podcast genres and an opportunity to hear new voices and opinions. The Spotlight creators can be found in the Apple Podcasts app and will be there for the duration of a month.

Their first Spotlight creator is the host of Celebrity Book Club, Chelsea Devantez. The podcast is surrounded around recapping and celebrating the memoirs of badass celebrity women who have been affected by the media in some way. Devantez uses her platform to discuss celebrities like Drew Barrymore, Celine Dion, and Leighton Meester with her friends and co-workers Emily V. Gordon, Gabourey Sidibe, Ashley Nicole Black, and Lydia Popovich.

This new feature for Apple Podcasts is a step forward to help bring small content creators into the light while not ignoring well-known content creators. The feature gives its current and all future Spotlight creators new ways to gain popularity and shed light on independent and underappreciated voices.
