This pandemic has changed a lot of things in terms of requirements needed to enter facilities. Places want to make sure that you are as healthy as can be, and one of the ways to do that is to check your temperature. Whether you are going to the doctor’s office or the local restaurant, a thermometer is at the ready, waiting for your arrival. However, something that raises concern is the contact being made while conducting these temperature tests.

David Brown in Business Wars Daily, “New Fitbit Watch Tests Your Temperature – And Your Stress Levels,” talks about Fitbit making changes that help ease this concern for some people. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the company has made adjustments to their watches, giving users the ability to track their temperature. Alongside the sensors imbedded in the watches to check your temperature, the watches now are able to monitor your breathing, heart rate changes, blood oxygen levels and even stress just from wearing it on your wrist. Since May of this year, Fitbit has made strides in helping detect COVID-19 symptoms before you could detect them yourself!

What has shown to be helpful to the community obviously are the temperature checks and the monitoring of stress levels. With these new additions to the watch, it makes it easier for facilities to check your temperature without making contact as well as make sure that your mental sanity is in check. Their detection of changes made in your stress levels makes it easier for them to request breathing mediations or different ways to help you take a step back and relax. With all of the chaos in the world, tools for relaxation can be very useful. The watch goes for $325.00 on the market, which is a small price to pay for all the benefits that you get from it.
