It’s hard to believe that 50 years ago, everything was documented on paper and business meetings took much more planning than sending out a Zoom invitation. Now, we can manage and run our businesses from our computers. Here are some gadgets that entrepreneurs should look at that will help make work life easier. Also, a good entrepreneur always stays up-to-date with technology to indicate that they are with the times. Whether you’re working from home or on business travel, these are definitely for you!

Laptops

Laptops are essential. I tried working with just a tablet and a Bluetooth keyboard and found that it’s nice for doing light work, but a laptop truly gets the job done. Also, while desktop monitors are nice and solid, laptops are better suitable for professionals. This is because they are more convenient for traveling and meetings. Plus, changing office scenery every once in a while (such as going outside) helps prevent burnout. When it comes to laptops, each to their own. But, here are professionals’ favorite laptops.

If you’re a writer, then you’ll want a laptop that’s typist-friendly. Journalists and bloggers should look at Google Pixelbook. Both TechRadar and Keyboard King can vouch for it. Other great typing-friendly laptops include Asus Vivobook and Dell XPS 13.

If you’re a multi-tasker and need several tabs and windows open, look no further. Business Insider claims that Asus Zenbook Duo can do it all at once at the speed of light. It has two screens: the main screen and a smaller sub-screen. Another great multi-tasking Asus laptop is the ROG Zephyrus. For the entrepreneur that does their work in various places, the HP Pavilion x360. Small and convertible, it’ll keep all your tasks functioning without being overwhelmed.

If you’re looking for something simple but effective, check out the HP Chromebook. This is a great option if you don’t heavily rely on your laptop. The Microsoft Surface Go 2 is also ideal, as it’s like a crossover between a tablet and a laptop. They’re both more on the affordable side, so you don’t have to drop serious cash on something you use sparingly.

Tablets

I never go anywhere without my tablet. I randomly think of ideas for work and I have to implement them right away before the thought is gone. If all of your technology products are Apple, then stick with an iPad. They’re hard to beat.

iPads arguably reign superior over other tablets. They’re easy to use, lightweight, and have a surprisingly long battery life. iPads have not changed drastically in the past 10 years because they don’t really need to. However, if you’ve had an iPad since the first generation and want to change things up, the Samsung A7 is proving itself to be a trusty gadget for an entrepreneur. The Samsung A7 has a 4/5 rating from TechRadar. If you’re an organizer, note taker, or a designer, then you’ll love the stylus pen (S pen) and the S pen slot on the tablet. PC Mag also notes that the Onyx Boox Note Pro tablet is a great option for those who can’t decide between Apple and Samsung.

Other Accessories

Of course, entrepreneurs need gadgets and accessories to go with their laptops and tablets. Such as keyboards, mouses, headsets, smartwatches, and so much more. Some like Bluetooth keyboards for optimal typing positions or to type on their tablets/phone. It’s also great for note-taking. The Logitech K380 is hailed as the best affordable keyboard, costing just under $40. Most keyboards work the same, although cheaper ones tend to break easier—not good for traveling.

Next, how about a nice headset so you can hear your colleagues during online meetings? Also, headsets are important if you talk on the phone all day, so you don’t wear out the audio output on your phone. It’ll be worth it to drop a couple of extra dollars on noise-canceling headphones. Sony MDRZX110NC will do the trick. If you’re comfortable spending a little more, get Bose or Beats noise-canceling headphones. Finally, smartwatches are a nice accessory, especially if you have a lot you need to keep up with. Again, if all of your products are Apple, stick with Apple Watch. Otherwise, there are other smartwatches available. Samsung also has the Galaxy Smartwatch 3 for both Apple and Android. Fitbits are more than just for keeping track of your steps—they also perform as smartwatches too. Last but not least, make sure you have a chip reader.

The best entrepreneurs always have the latest gadgets to impress clients and colleagues alike. They also do help with running a business, organization, setting reminders, and making the work itself easier. Try them out and see how much easier life gets!
