Chift Streamlines Financial Tool Integrations for SaaS Companies with Unified API

Saas

Belgium’s emerging startup, Chift, has successfully raised a €2.3 million seed round ($2.5 million), becoming a pivotal solution for fintech startups needing seamless integration with financial ecosystems. Notable fintech companies like Pennylane, Qonto, Agicap, Pleo, and Mollie are leveraging Chift’s capabilities to manage integrations with various financial services.

Addressing Integration Challenges in Fintech

Fintech companies often struggle with building multiple connectors and partner integrations to ensure uniformity across various financial products. As these ecosystems expand, the complexity necessitates an integration platform-as-a-service (iPaaS) provider. Chift stands out by offering expert third-party integration through a suite of unified APIs compatible with the most popular financial tools.

Unified APIs for Diverse Financial Tools

Chift’s robust accounting API is compatible with French software like Sage, Cegid, and Pennylane, and extends to invoicing tools, e-commerce platforms, and point-of-sales software, primarily focusing on tools that generate financial data.

Navigating the European Market Complexity

“We integrate with tools that generate financial data,” says co-founder and CEO Gauthier Henroz. The European fintech market is fragmented, with each country having its own set of accounting or invoicing platforms. Chift’s unified API approach enables businesses to access financial data from various SaaS products, regardless of regional differences.

Expanding the Integration Ecosystem

As more companies adopt Chift, the platform continues to add new connectors. This expansion benefits existing clients and creates a barrier to entry for new competitors. Henroz explained, “In Europe, complexity lies in the differences across countries, especially in accounting, points of sales, and invoicing tools.” By integrating these complexities, Chift aids its customers in upselling and targeting new markets, exhibiting minimal churn.

Maintaining Seamless Integrations

Developing an integration is not a one-time task; API updates from partnered companies can cause system failures. Chift takes on the responsibility of maintaining these integrations, allowing SaaS companies to focus on their core products rather than integration issues.

Future Outlook

Chift’s recent seed round featured investors such as Entourage, Shapers, Seeder Fund, and several business angels. “Our goal is to become the European leader,” stated Henroz. With a solid foundation and a growing list of integrations, Chift is poised to dominate the European market.
