Capitolis, a financial technology company, said on October 6, 2026 that it completed $220 million of financing. The package includes a $120 million Series E equity round at a $1.9 billion valuation, plus debt.

Citi, an existing investor, led the equity round. Bank of America, Nomura and Tradeweb Markets joined as new strategic investors. Barclays, BNP Paribas, J.P. Morgan, State Street and UBS also took part. Capitolis named First Citizens Innovation Banking, Hercules Capital and Pinegrove Venture Partners as debt providers.

What the money is for

Capitolis said the financing supports its acquisition of eSecLending. On September 29, Capitolis announced it had agreed to buy the securities lending business in an all-cash deal worth $200 million. eSecLending lends securities on behalf of asset owners such as pension funds, insurers and asset managers to large banks. Capitolis described it as the company’s fourth strategic acquisition in five years.

That acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals and antitrust clearance. eSecLending (Europe) Limited is not part of the deal.

What the companies said

Tradeweb’s Serene Murphy said securities lending is “the next frontier in the electronification” of markets. Capitolis CEO Gil Mandelzis called the round “a strong endorsement” of the company’s vision.

What is not known

The cited releases do not specify a closing date for the acquisition or Capitolis revenue. The October 6 release does not break down the debt financing by provider. The valuation and deal terms are as stated by the company.
