Alyssa Farah Griffin, co-host of “The View,” slammed Kanye West for making anti-Semitic remarks on Friday and sternly stated that the Holocaust “could happen again” if the public doesn’t speak out against such vile remarks.
Griffin referred to Kanye West as a “moron” after the rapper made a bizarre appearance with white nationalist Nick Fuentes on conspiracy theorist Alex Jones’ “Infowars” on Thursday. Throughout the bizarre episode, West, who had a black hood covering his entire face, praised Adolf Hitler and babbled about anti-Semitic conspiracies.
Griffin said, “I watched snippets of the livestream and I despise that these people even have a platform.” I hope I never have to hear the names Kanye West, Alex Jones, or Nick Fuentes again, I kept thinking. Kanye West has 32 million Twitter followers, which is the issue. Only 14 million Jews live in the world.
Griffin continued, “To put it more precisely, there are only 7 million Jews in the US compared to the 6 million Jews who perished in the Holocaust. “If these idiots have platforms, that kind of horror could happen again. We must denounce this and speak out.”
She continued, “And by the way, I was just shocked by the fact that even at times, Alex Jones looked kind of shocked by what Kanye was saying. I think this is the first time in Alex Jones’ life that he wasn’t the craziest, most offensive person in the room.
Griffin’s co-host Sonny Hostin added, “The West saga showed you the limits of de-platforming,” concurring with Griffin.
We are all in disbelief that Kanye West, who is anti-Semitic, anti-Black, and a Holocaust denier, is on the airwaves with Alex Jones, who is the Sandy Hook denier, Nick Fuentes, a white supremacist, and Hostin.
In recent months, West has repeatedly expressed anti-Semitic opinions while speaking to the media. The music mogul lost significant business deals with Adidas and Gap, and he also lost his billionaire status.
During his appearance on “InfoWars,” West stated that he sees “good things about Hitler.”
According to West, “the Jewish media has given us the impression that the Nazis and Hitler have never contributed anything worthwhile to the world.”
Following a string of offensive tweets, including one in which he shared an unsettling image of a swastika inside a Star of David, West was suspended from Twitter hours after making the bizarre remarks.
Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter, claimed that West had “again violated our rule against inciting violence,” necessitating a suspension.
