A big thing that we have faced in the United States since the beginning of time is the systematic racial injustices millions have to face every day just being in America. The fight for justice has never been more important than it is now. It is a daily fight and will continue to be so until people of color get the equality and the justice they deserve. As that fight continues each day, we try to find the best in the circumstances that have been dealt and one amazing thing is a huge step forward for those who are looking for a new bank.
To improve banking opportunities for people of color, Greenwood Bank just released its website for mobile banking that is open to and meant for Black and Latinx customers. Since releasing the news that Greenwood is going live, they have received thousands of applications to be a part of this digital bank.
They exist for one reason…to provide those of color with a reliable and non-confrontational bank that they can count on. The creators of Greenwood have seen and faced the injustices and has created Greenwood to give everyone a place where they belong, a place where they are trusted, and appreciated. They urge to help obliterate non-banked or underbanked black owned households and are using their platform to make donations to help low income communities.
Being a sponsor of the Greenwood Cultural Center, they are keeping the spirit alive and helping Black and Latinx small business by donating $10,000 to a selected business every month. Alongside that, they will round up the spare change of purchases you make with Greenwood and use that to support HBCUs through the UNCF, continue to commit to civil rights with NAACP, or fight hunger with Goodr.
