He plays Lee Han-young, a judge who was basically a “servant” to a corrupt law firm until he was murdered. Instead of staying dead, he wakes up 10 years in the past with all his memories intact. Now, he’s using his “future knowledge” to take down the people who killed him and actually serve some real justice this time. It’s fast-paced, intense, and Ji Sung is, as always, acting his heart out.

To My Beloved Thief

This one is for the fans who love a good sageuk (historical drama) with a weird twist. Nam Ji-hyun plays a doctor who secretly lives a double life as a “Robin Hood” style thief at night. Moon Sang-min is the prince who is obsessed with catching her. The catch? They accidentally swap bodies. Watching a regal prince try to act like a sneaky thief (and vice versa) while navigating palace politics is honestly comedy gold. It’s got great chemistry and a really warm, heartwarming vibe.

Spring Fever

Sometimes you just need a “warm blanket” show, and Spring Fever is exactly that. Set in a beautiful seaside village, it follows a teacher (Lee Joo-bin) who moves to the countryside to heal from a rough time in Seoul. She meets a guy (Ahn Bo-hyun) who looks like a tough back-alley fighter with all his tattoos, but he’s actually the sweetest, most devoted guy ever. It’s a slow-burn romance that focuses on healing and second chances. If you liked Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, this is your next must-watch.

Can This Love Be Translated?

This is one of the most anticipated Netflix originals of the year, mostly because it’s written by the legendary Hong Sisters (the duo behind Hotel Del Luna). Kim Seon-ho plays a guy who can speak English, Japanese, and Italian fluently, but he’s terrible at understanding the “body language” and romantic cues of the top star (Go Youn-jung) he’s working for. They travel all over the world—Italy, Canada, Japan—and have a lot of funny misunderstandings because they basically speak different “languages” when it comes to love.¹¹

No Tail to Tell (Starting Today, I’m Human)

We’ve seen plenty of Gumihos (nine-tailed foxes) in K-dramas, but Eun-ho is different. She loves being a fox and has zero interest in becoming a puny, emotional human. But after a weird accident involving a very narcissistic soccer star (Lomon), she actually turns human. Now she has to deal with the chaos of human emotions and physical limitations for the first time. It’s a quirky, Gen Z spin on the classic myth, and the “enemies-to-lovers” vibe is already making it a favorite on social media.

Undercover Miss Hong

Park Shin-hye is back, and she is playing a total “boss” character. Set during the 1990s IMF financial crisis, she plays an elite financial investigator who goes undercover as a 20-something junior employee at a securities firm to sniff out corruption.² It’s a mix of a corporate thriller and a romantic comedy, as she has to navigate 90s office culture (think old-school fax machines) while keeping her true identity secret from the firm’s ambitious CEO.

Positively Yours

Based on a super popular webtoon, this is a classic “contract marriage” drama with a high-stakes twist. It follows a career-focused woman who has completely sworn off marriage but ends up pregnant after a one-night stand with her company’s president. He wants to marry her, she just wants to be a single mom, and their clash of personalities (plus a bit of family pressure) makes for a really fun, mature romantic comedy.

Taxi Driver 3

Technically, Season 3 started at the end of 2025, but the absolute peak of the “Rainbow Taxi” craze happened in the first week of 2026. This season took the “private revenge” service to a whole new level, ending with a massive showdown at a military base.¹⁶ Lee Je-hoon even won another Grand Prize for his role as the legendary driver Kim Do-gi. If you haven’t finished this yet, the finale dropped on January 10th, and the ratings were through the roof—hitting a peak of 18.5%.

Idol I

This is a unique one—it’s a “legal romance” that also dives deep into the world of K-pop fandom. Sooyoung (from Girls’ Generation) plays a high-powered lawyer who is secretly a massive fan of a specific idol group. When her “bias” (played by Kim Jae-young) is framed for murder, she risks her entire professional reputation to defend him. It’s half intense mystery and half romantic comedy, with a lot of interesting commentary on how toxic fan culture can be.

Love Me

If you like “slice-of-life” dramas that feel very real and a bit emotional, Love Me (based on a Swedish show) is the one for you. It stars Seo Hyun-jin as a successful doctor who seems to have it all but is actually incredibly lonely and hiding a dark family secret. It’s a very touching look at how people grow and heal in their 30s and 40s. It’s also famous for being the acting debut of TWICE’s Dahyun, which has a lot of ONCEs tuning in.
